I Never Played Battlerite. Am I at a Disadvantage?
You don't need to worry if you haven't played Battlerite before because the controls are easy to pick up and stick with modern game movement. Also there are many champions that are simple for new players to pick up and play (labeled by green thumbs up.) Battlerite Royale's gameplay consists of top down skill based combat so practice will make you perfect here.
What Gamemodes can I play?
- Battlerite Royale: 1v30 or 15 teams of 2v2 compete to be last standing and the winners will be awarded a chest for winning.
- VS AI: The same as Battlerite Royale but with bots instead of players
- Tutorial: A small map to teach players how to play the game
- Custom: An empty server you can fill with other players of your choosing.
What Can I Expect a Regular Match to Be Like?
When you find a match you're placed in a selected part of the map with the other players and you are able to buy items like skills, potions, and items. Once the timer runs out your team will spawn on 1/2 Wyverns which are cutesy animals that serve as transport and fly in a straight line on the map. You can choose where to drop and find the items you need to be able to have the advantage. You need to make sure you stick with your teammate incase you get jumped by other teams while you're looting. The map has hotspots where loot drops more frequently. These are also a battleground of enemy teams as well.
How Does This Game Stand Out From Other Battle Royales?
Battlerite Royale has gameplay activities that can be interacted by anyone in-game. One of these are chest respawns, which are trigger in areas that many people have looted near the beginning of the match. There are also supply drops that spawn periodically around the map and can be contested to get gold, legendary items, and consumables. Battlerite Royale also has NPCs that can be killed for bonuses like a warlock which drops lots of gold and items or a dummy which can be farmed for energy to use your ultimate. There are consumables that allow the player to be creative in their wins. Like using a rocket booster to push an enemy into the void and finish him off. Transformations are also not uncommon to see in consumables which give their own respected buffs like speed and shielding.
I'm Pretty Good at the Game Now, What's There for Me?
On the Battlerite Discord group they host tournaments organized by verified organizers on the channel with pot prizes. So if you feel you or your team are ready for a challenge then give it a shot. The tournaments aren't as prevalent as Battlerite Arena so check on it every once in a while.
